Polythene and Tobacco Free Campus Cell  /  Activities / Events 
 
    The meeting of Polythene and Tobacco  Committee was held on 02.08.2018 in Principal Office. The meeting was chaired  by Principal Prof. C.M. Jain and it discussed the ways and means to implement  the decisions taken in earlier meeting regarding the maintenance and promotion  of environment by discouraging the students from using polythene and tobacco.  The following suggestions were made:
 
-  Surprise inspection by the committee  members should be done at the college gate and other areas in the campus to see  whether polythene is being used or not.
 
- Polythene and tobacco discouraging  warning board should be displayed at main entry point of college for awareness  amongst the students.
 
-  Poster competition about polythene and  tobacco’s harmful effects can be organized.
 
-  Funds should be made available for the  distribution of bags amongst the students as a substitute of polythene.
 
-  5th June, 2018, Jute bags were  distributed containing the slogan “Say No to Polythene”. The function  was attended by Hon’ble Secretary Shri Arjun Sahu Ji, Member of Management  Committee Shri B.K. Singh Ji, Municipal Chairman’s husband Shri Ershad Ansari  Ji, Dr. Suryamani Raghuvanshi, Editor Bijnor Times and Chingari News paper. 200  jute bags were distributed among staff members and guests.
 
- Principal Prof. C.M. Jain chalked out a plan 20  nest for birds on trees and facility of drinking water pots and food grains for  birds every day. Many staff members contributed for making new nests for birds.
