Geography is not important, it is essential. The issues facing us today can only be understood from a geographical perspective. Quest for knowledge has been fundamental to mankind and geography department fulfills this need of man. Geography department of Vardhaman College is one of the best and pioneer departments of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University, Bareilly. Vardhaman College started his journey from 1960 and simultaneously graduate classes started same year. PG classes started in 1963. Right from the beginning department produced many brilliant students as teachers, administrative officers, Bank Officers, Principals, etc. At present, department is well equipped with smart board class. We have two separate labs for MA previous and MA final year. Department has been approved research centre by University for 45 years. Therefore, we have research facility and library for PG students. At least, 15 students passed the prestigious NET (National Eligibility Test) in last five years. Our staff members arrange special classes for NET preparations.
