Polythene ban can save our environment and tobacco ban can save our students from drugs and smoking. As we know widespread usage of polythene poses difficulties for waste management if it not recycled. Polythene is not readily biodegradable, and thus accumulates in land files. One third environmental pollution is due to polythene.
A committee was constituted to make college campus free from polythene and tobacco menace. Tobacco use is the single greatest cause of preventable deaths globally. As many as half of people who use tobacco die from complications of tobacco use. Salient objectives of the Cell are given below:
1. As our earth is crying due to deforestation. Our college motto is “Compensatory a forestation.”
2. Our college campus is lush green; to enhance its quality complete ban on every plastic item is compulsory.
3. It is our fundamental duty to preserve the quality of environment not only in college campus but in surrounding areas also. Our NSS team is doing this work enthusiastically.
4. As we know some parts of country are in the grip of drug and smoking. Our pious aim is to protect our new generation.
